Mark is out of Chicago. He sometimes goes by Birdman, but is in no way related to New Orleans rapper/producer Baby, who also uses that nickname. He mostly paints people with bird heads, among other things, always on vintage surfaces that he and his family have collected over the years. Mark’s surfaces include old textbook, dictionary, and encyclopedia pages, checkerboards, trading stamps, wallpaper, magazine covers, and cigar box lids.
